Help Us Find a New Studio Space
Recent negotiations with the Menomonee Falls School District has placed the future of Falls Cable Access in jeopardy. The failure to extend the lease for our studio in the high school means Falls Cable Access will need to:
|1. Find suitable studio space in the Fall.
||2. Move the Channel 14 Modulator and the fiber optic cable connection to the new location.
These two requirements could be cost prohibitive and sentence our programming to the same fate as thousands of access centers across the nation. It's our hope that we can connect with community partners that will help us save the studio.
Our studio requirements include 1,600 square feet for staging and 500 square feet for control room and office space. Also, our staging area needs a minimum of 15 feet of ceiling clearance to accommodate lighting. The cost involved with moving the fiber optic connection to Spectrum Cable, our media provider, is calculated per mile. Therefore, proximity to the high school or village hall is desirable. Please contact Harry Stoetzel at (262) 251-2866 if you are aware of suitable studio space or wish to help keep Cable Access alive in Menomonee Falls.
